UJAMAA Construction Inc. started working at the The University of Chicago campus in 2011 and continues to work on the campus until current day. Over the years, UJAMAA has completed several renovations on campus that includes, smart classroom renovations, bathrooms renovations, infrastructure and building renovations, wet and dry lab renovations, athletic halls and gymnasium renovations, residence hall renovations, etc. Some of our projects include:

The U of C Gleacher Center Renovation project involved the demolition of much of the existing computer center as well as two offices.The project also involved the rebuild and redesign of the center.The facility now includes an enclosed work room as well as a common reception area. The project is located at U of C Booth School Gleacher Center, 450 N. Cityfront Plaza Dr. in Chicago, Illinois 60611.

The University of Chicago Searle Center Suite 125 Renovation project involved modification of the DIRTT Walls to allow additional office space. The scopes of work included in this project were demolition, carpentry, carpet tile, painting, HVAC mechanical, and electrical renovation work. The project is located in the Searle Building on the first floor at 5735 S. Ellis, Chicago, IL 60637.

Among the many lab renovations, include the Judd Photography Lab Renovation in the Judd Hall on the campus. Converting the existing office area to add the lab space for student collaborative projects.

The OCE Woodlawn Renovation project involved the multi-phase renovation of the basement, and first floor locations of the Woodlawn Social Service Building. The scopes of work included in this project were temporary protection, demolition, carpentry, millwork, doors and hardware, framing and drywall, wall patching, flooring, painting plumbing, and specialties.

UJAMAA completed the renovation of the Regenstein Library work that includes the complete demolition to structural members. New electrical and mechanical distribution systems throughout including all new lighting. The work also included all new acoustical ceilings and grid system with fire sprinkler head re-distribution.
