UJAMAA was approved as a Preferred Contractor for Access Community Health Network program as a General Contractor in 2007. Since that time UJAMAA has completed multiple renovation projects of varying sensitivity and difficulty. See some of our completed projects.

The Access Health Network Clinic at Grand Boulevard renovation involved adding new exam rooms, reconfiguration of the existing Reception, Lab and Locker areas upgrade of 4050 sqft existing facility. The construction included a new Walgreens Pharmacy in the facility, in a four phased construction project. The work was completed in 12weeks for a budget of $560,000. The work was phased and coordinated around the facility schedule and concluded on budget and within schedule.

The Access Health Network Clinic – Cicero renovation involved the interior build out of an existing “Vanilla Box” 8,000sqft gross floor area on the second floor for the purpose of an Outpatient Clinic. The work included all new finished floors and wall materials, new doors, bathrooms, medical administrators and providers office areas, 21 exam and procedure rooms, and common areas. New plumbing, new root top units, mechanical distribution systems, new electrical service service and distributions and new sprinkler and fire protection system. The project was completed for approximately $175/sqft for a total budget of $1,400,000, and was completed in 22 weeks.

General contracting services at Westside Family Health Center, an outpatient facility located in Chicago, Illinois. The project scope includes the renovation of patient rooms, lobby, M/E/P upgrades and other interior improvements for this fully-operational medical building.

ACS – 4 Replacement & Patient Room Renovations: The replacement of an existing air handling unit along with associated supply and return duct work, radiate heat panels, ceiling replacement, as well as interior finishes.

ACCESS Brandon Family Health Center: Upon completing several renovation and new projects for Access Community Health Network, UJAMAA Construction Inc. is in the process of completing a 12,684sqft single story, new construction facility and a Design-Build-Finance format. The project will be complete in December of 2017. It consists of 20 Exam rooms, a four-station dental suite, a community room, Lab areas, medical admin and providers office area, staff offices and support rooms. The site include 31 parking stall, a community gathering area, and all associated site work. The new construction project all pre-construction site assembly, and financing package, building programing and end-user design and coordination, Class C property tax application, debt financing, and building construction.
