Since being selected as a JOC Contract in 2011, UJAMAA Construction has completed several theater renovation with new lighting and AV system improvement for the City College of Chicago. The theaters are used theatrical and music productions, academic lectures and film presentations.

UJAMAA was selected by the City Colleges of Chicago to complete the 218 seat Beattie Theater renovation at Richard J. Daley College and the 212 Bruce Cherry Theater renovation at Olive Harvey College. Both renovation features complete demolition of the existing facilities to the structural members, new stage construction, new seating, lighting controls and AV systems. In included acoustical treatment of the flooring, wall finishes and stage drapery. It included work in the sound and ticket booth and vestibule areas.

UJAMAA also completed the Lighting and AV system replacement in the main Auditorium at Truman City Colleges.
