Since being selected as a JOC Contract in 2011, UJAMAA Construction has completed several wet and dry labs at the many campuses of the City College of Chicago. UJAMAA completed the science lab renovations at the third floor of the Richard J. Daley College that included the conversion of existing classrooms into three separate lab spaces for a new biology and two chemistry labs. It included the complete demolition, new mechanical and plumbing infrastructure to the space, installing lab casework, MEP/FP fixtures, fume hoods and exhaust fan, new floors and wall finishes. Lab smart boars were installed, including smart learning technology.
